The integral lock ring is a feature built into the male luer fitting that ensures the fittings remain firmly connected until intentionally disconnected. These adapters are available in various materials to accommodate various applications and compliance requirements.

Choose from plugs closed at the tip and plugs closed at the grip. Plugs closed at luer tip are designed to seal at the tip of the plug, where it connects with the female luer fitting, ideal when it’s crucial to prevent any leakage or contamination at the tip of the fitting. Plugs closed at the grip feature a sealing mechanism located closer to the body of the plug, where it connects with the mating female luer fitting. This design may be preferred in applications where the tip of the fitting needs to remain open or where the focus is on sealing at the base rather than the tip.

Polycarbonate is transparent and features high impact, chemical, UV, and electrical resistance. Sterilization is only recommended via ethylene oxide (EtO). Gamma radiation up to 10 Mrads is possible with minor loss of physical properties – it will discolor to a yellow-green hue. Autoclave is not recommended and may crack the fitting.
