Pump Performance

Tygoprene® Pump Tubing, Formulation XL-60 was designed for pump applications. It is extremely flexible and maintains a pump life of over 500 hours. Tygoprene® XL-60 is an excellent alternative to silicone and PVC when longer pump life, higher temperatures, and clarity are needed. With a durometer hardness of Shore A 60, it is extremely flexible and exhibits superior flex life, reducing downtime due to pump tubing failure.

Physical Properties

Tygoprene® XL-60 is a great alternative to PVC. It has excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of fluids and is translucent in color. The Tygoprene® Pump Tubing complies with FDA 21 CFR, 177.1210 criteria, which are applicable for food contact applications, and is NSF listed under standard 51. It has also passed UL 94-HB flammability resistance classification. Tygoprene® XL-60 has excellent resistance to ozone, oxygen, and sunlight aging and remains flexible at -40°F up to 250°F.

Extractables

Tygoprene® Pump Tubing has low extractables, greatly reducing the risk of fluid contamination in applications such as ink transfer. It does not impart taste to the fluids being transferred, making it an ideal choice for food and beverage applications. Other typical applications for the Tygoprene® XL-60 include general chemical transfer, food processing, ink transfer, and cold or hot beverage transfer.
