The CPC (Colder) SMC Series quick-disconnect hose barb body and insert fittings offer a twist-to-connect design, providing a reliable and more secure alternative to luer-type fittings. This design allows tubing to rotate freely when connected, preventing both kinked tubing and accidental disconnection during use. The fittings can withstand pressures from vacuum to 100 psi (6.9 bar),
The fittings are available in acetal and polypropylene. The acetal fittings operate effectively within a temperature range of -40°F to 180°F (-40°C to 82°C). The polypropylene fittings operate effectively within a temperature range of 32 to 160 °F (0 to 71 °C).
