The USP General Chapter <467> Residual Solvents is a method widely used for identifying and quantifying residual solvents when there is no information available on what solvents are likely to be present. • 5 Organic Volatile Impurities USP <467> Pharmaceutical Residual Solvent is a 1 mL ampule which contains 50,000 µg/mL (50,000 ppm) of 1,1,1-Trichloroethane; 40,000 µg/mL (40,000 ppm) of 1,1-Dichloroethene; 25,000 µg/mL (25,000 ppm) of 1,2-Dichloroethane; 20,000 μg/mL (20,000 ppm) of Carbon tetrachloride; and 10,000 μg/mL (10,000 ppm) of Benzene.
