These food microbiology proficiency tests provide the quantitative determination of target microorganisms by standardized cultural methods. Each vacuum-sealed glass vial contains a culture pellet lyophilized in Microgel-Flash™ matrix. Simply hydrate with supplied hydration fluid. The culture pellet dissolves almost instantly with minimum agitation and no incubation. If applicable add meat or dairy matrix to the solution.

When prepared according to the instructions, the concentration range for the following seven analytes will be:

APC: 2,500 to 500,000 CFU/pellet
Total Coliform: 2,000 to 400,000 CFU/pellet
E. coli: 1,000 to 200,000 CFU/pellet
S. aureus: 5,000 to 100,000 CFU/pellet
Enterobacteriaceae: 2,500 to 400,000 CFU/pellet
Yeast: 5,000 to 100,000 CFU/pellet
Mold (if present): 500 to 100,000 CFU/pellet
