Alumina ceramic vial set is ideal for blending powders and mixing emulsions. Use with clamp 04576-69 for slurry grinding to prevent leakage and damage to the vial.

Typical composition: Major Elements – Al; Minor Elements – Si, Ca, Mg

Since alumina is fragile, extreme care must be taken to prevent breakage. Starting sample size should be 1/4". Sample quantity should be between 5 and 15 g of a material that can reasonably be expected to be ground by ceramic. Do not use more than one 1/2" diameter grinding ball.
