Each aluminum cryo-block holds 48 standard (1.5 to 2.0 mL) microcentrifuge or PRC tubes. Chill cryo-blocks in the cryo-station 04575-81 to maintains samples at liquid nitrogen temperatures during tissue homogenization and cell lysis. The blocks preserve pesticides, RNA, and proteins for heat sensitive extraction methods. Use two at a time in the clamp assembly 04605-08 to keep it in balance.
