More About this Item

Our four grades of disposable ion exchange filter cartridges withstand water pressue as high as 100 psi for safe hookup to any laboratory tap water system. Cartridge resins turn amber to indicate when cartridges need to be changed. All cartridges must be used with mounting brackets (order separately). Store water using the accumulator cartridge for faster dispensing.

Suggested System Combinations
A) One Adsorber and one Universal cartridge combination produces water free of all ionized constituents except free CO2 and silica.
B) Two Universal and two Research cartridges operating in tandem increase deionization capacity by 15%. Recommended for use with water that has a mineral salt concentration of 10 grains per gallon or more. When cartridges are mounted in pairs, use until the left cartridge is spent. Then, shift the right cartridge to the left side and replace the right side with a new cartridge. High water quality is retained.
C) Metex removes ≥99% of metallic ion, ammonia, and other cations. useful for power plants and for recovery of precious metals.

Research cartridge produces water ionically equivalent to triple-distilled water, removing all ionized minerals down to a level of 4 ppb or less as well as CO2 and silica. When used in tandem, these cartridges produce water with a resistivity of 15 M?-cm or greater. Capacity is 1000 grains expressed as CaCO3.

      These will have a guarantee 24 months from time of shipment. We do not have "expirations dates" but we will stand behind 24 months from shipment.

      You can use any combination of up to four different cartridges to purify tap water to type 1 water. The cartridge types used should depend on what is in your tap water and the required outcome.

      Deionized water is not intended to be drinking water. The less amount of ions in water the more it acts like a solvent; it wants to have ions dissolved in it. Also, such resin type filters are not intended to remove pathogens.
      Our products are meant for lab and research use only, and not human consumption. None of the items we sell are intended to purify water to drinking conditions.
