Used to select, transfer and inoculate living microorganisms in the streaking process, these inoculating loops have been designed to slide easily along agar surfaces without cutting or tearing. Made of 26-gauge twisted nichrome wire, they cool rapidly and are more economical than platinum loops.

Supplied without handles, these non-sterile, reusable inoculating loops are available calibrated or non-calibrated. Brass handles are sold separately as items 04396-40 and 04396-41.

Calibrated Loops are supplied with calibration certificates based on ASM/APHA Evans Blue Dye test protocols.
