Bring this portable fuming system directly to the crime scene, saving valuable laboratory time and space. System combines all the components needed for fingerprint fuming in one compact, easy-to-transport unit. A microprocessor-controlled heater heats the CA adhesive (Super Glue^®). The heater may be set in one degree increments between 120 to 350°F (49 to 77°C). An LCD displays the current or set-point temperature. A shatter-resistant, clear polycarbonate protective chamber, 8" W x 16" H x 8" D (20 x 41 x 20 cm), contains the fume as they react with the latent prints. A built-in exhaust blower pulls air from the chamber, through the filter and exhausts it into the room. A particulate/carbon exhaust filter traps smoke and CA fumes exhausted from the chamber.

Constructed of durable epoxy-coated steel with a stainless steel manifold to support evidence inside the chamber. A stainless steel hook, shelf and perforated tray are included. The CApture system runs on 115 VAC, 60 Hz, , 230 VAC, 50 Hz, or can be run on car battery when connected to a user-supplied inverter.
