They blend quickly and completely with samples to form XRF (x-ray fluorescence) sample disks. Tablets are an efficient way to add binder to XRF sample disks. Liquid easily mixes with the sample.
Air-stable disks act as the waxy binder to seal the surface against moisture. Paraffin binder can be blended with sample at 10 to 20% by weight to form XRF sample disks.
