Combination non-contact/contact probe thermometer and timer for all food safety applications!

Cole-Parmer Instrument Company introduces the new Oakton combination non-contact infrared (IR)/contact probe thermometer (35625-40). Ideal for checking critical food temperatures to ensure food stays within Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food-safe temperatures. The sealed water-resistant IP54 housing allows for easy cleaning and washing. The go/no-go LEDs rapidly indicate if food is within the bacterial growth zone-a green light indicates safe temperatures below 40°F (4°C) and above 140°F (60°C); a red light indicates the HACCP danger zone of 40 to 140°F (4 to 60°C).

Measure temperatures as low as -40°F (40°C) and as high as 527°F ( 275°C). The IR mode provides quick, non-contact surface measurements, preventing the risk of cross-contamination. The unique LED target illumination clearly increases accuracy by indicating the area being measured. The replaceable contact probe swings out for internal temperature checks, then folds in for storage. In addition, the thermometer features a countdown timer with audible/visual alarm for monitoring cooking and cooling intervals, and HACCP exposure times.
