Cole-Parmer introduces BioConnect, a program of disposable sterile and nonsterile customized bioprocess assemblies for the biotech and pharmaceutical markets.
BioConnect allows customers to custom design assemblies by choosing from among thousands of components from dozens of brand-name manufacturers. Each assembly is manufactured to the customer's precise specifications to ensure consistent, high-quality process integration. If requested, Cole-Parmer will ship the product gamma-sterilized, complete with multilevel packaging for aseptic delivery.
BioConnect allows customers to streamline their process by eliminating the sterilization and cleaning steps. The customized assemblies can be discarded after one use, eliminating the need to validate and test for cleanliness. BioConnect also allows customers to order under one SKU with regularly scheduled delivery dates. In this way, Cole-Parmer manages the inventory and delivers a complete package when needed.
BioConnect assemblies are made in a Class 10,000 cleanroom. The assembly facility is ISO-13485 certified, cGMP compliant, and FDA registered. BioConnect offers gamma irradiation sterilization with a 10-6 Sterility Assurance Level (SAL), and full lot traceability that identifies the production site, manufacturing date, and origin of the components. BioConnect also provides and maintains all required documentation, including complete validation and certificates of conformance and sterility.
