  • Q:

i get an ERR1 message on the screen ; what does that mean . I changed the batteries to no avail . It is a glass body fat scale .
Asked on 10/3/2015 by mojo from Kitchener , ontario , Canada

There is a reset procedure that often works with this error. If this does not work the unit will need to be replaced. 1. Remove the battery from the scale.
      2. Sit the scale on a hard surface floor.
      3. Step up onto the scale, stand still for about 5 seconds and step off the scale.
      4. Re-install your battery.
      5. Place the scale back on a hard surface floor.
      6. With one foot only, place just enough weight on the scale for the display to turn on. As soon as the display turns on, remove the weight from the scale.
      7. Wait for the scale to turn off again.
      8. Step up onto the scale for a weight.

How do I remove the batteries to replace with fresh ones?

These use button batteries. The battery compartment should be on the bottom of the scale and can be removed with a screwdriver.

  • Q:

I loved this scale (Taylor 7407) until I changed the battery. When I put the new batteries in, it reads the temperature and time, but not the weight. The weight is set at a fixed 5.0 lbs and does not go up or down.

    What is happening? Thanks!
Asked on 3/11/2015 by Brooke from Michigan

    1 answer

This scale only read weight in pounds kilograms or stone. You can change this parameter by moving the slide switch on the bottom of the scale. For further troubleshooting please contact our Applications department. The contact information can be found under the 'Contact Us' section below.
