More About this Item
These precision LabMaster laboratory meters determine the amount of water activity (Aw) in food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. They enable measurements under fully controlled chamber temperature conditions and allow you to select the required temperature range with a precision of 0.2 Kelvin. Temperature is one of the most important factors in measuring water activity, by controlling temperature you are ensuring consistent and reproducible measurement in as fast as 5 minutes.
Meters use the latest noncontact infrared sampling technology and a maintenance-free Aw sensor designed to measure almost any kind of samples in almost any physical state — powders, gels, liquids, pastes, and solids. Use the optional filters to accurately measure samples with critical additives such as alcohol, acids, bases, and chlorine.
A large illuminated graphic LCD with intuitive menu structure displays all measurements including water activity (Aw), temperature, and stability. Password protection and administrator rights provide increased security with multiple users.
Data is recorded internally and can be exported to a printer or PC through a RS-232 or USB interface. Advanced software (included) lets you easily analyze the information on your PC. An external data logger can also be connected to the unit using the built-in analog output.
The unique Aw sensor is designed to be field calibrated after multiple uses. The reusable standards, if kept closed in the supplied airtight container, can last several years, saving on overall operating costs. The sensor can also be easily replaced when it is no longer performing to factory specifications — it is the sensor which holds all the factory-calibrated values within it, allowing the unit to be within calibration.
Choose from two models. LabMaster Standard is designed to process one sample at a time, but can be updated later using optional software to become multichannel-capable. LabMaster Advanced lets you link up to nine add-on LabPartner units—processing multiple samples for increased throughput. LabPartner has no direct control interface and must be used in conjunction with the LabMaster Advanced unit. All functions for controlling the LabPartner are done via the LabMaster Advanced control screen.
