More About this Item

StableTemp utility baths combine precise temperature control and excellent temperature stability to provide you with reliable heating. These baths feature dual thermostats — a primary microprocessor-based temperature controller that provides ±0.1°C precision, and a secondary over-temperature safety sensor prevents samples from overheating. For optimal temperature accuracy, the primary controller can be calibrated to your reference thermometer.

The stainless steel tank is seamless — no welds to leak or rust — and the rounded corners provide an easy-to-clean interior. Hinged polycarbonate lid allows condensation to flow back.

  • Q:

    We have purchased the water bath and it mentions that chlorides should not be used. We include about 10-100 ppm on chlorides. Do these attack the tank, the heater, or the polycarbonate lid?

      This water bath has no internal circulating pump. The heating uniformity is done through the elements on the interior wall.

  • Q:

    I will be using the bath without the lid as my solution in beaker is too tall. At 1000 watts, I should expect no problems holding a temp of 95 C - correct?

      You should not have a problem for standard processes. However, this will be dependent on how quickly heat is removed from the system.
