The RAMbio benchtop acoustic mixer uses Resonant Acoustic Mixing (RAM) technology that applies low-frequency, high-intensity acoustic energy to agitate microbial cultures. The vertical oscillations of the shaker platform generate standing waves in the culture media, dramatically enhancing oxygenation and bulk mixing for bacterial and fungi cultures. Achieve bulk mixing enhancements with even better relative performance as viscosity increases. Oxygen transfer rates are up to six times higher than those possible with traditional orbital-shaken incubators.
Mixer accommodates flasks ranging from 250 mL to 1L (order clamps separately - see accessory options) and features user-configurable shaking intensity with humidity control. The easy-to-use interface allows you to set points for mixing, temperature, and humidity. Display will show set points and current values, as well as running times.
Use the RAMBio mixer in conjunction with the Oxy-Pump® stopper to achieve bioreactor-equivalent oxygen transfer. The stopper actively pumps air into, and out of your flask cultures. It offers complete headspace refreshment equivalent to that achieved in stirred tank bioreactors without the need for mechanical pumps. This autoclavable stopper is constructed from silicone and polypropylene and has a replaceable filter.
