3 Steps for Selecting Masterflex Peristaltic Pump Systems

Need help selecting your Masterflex® peristaltic pump system? Here are 3 steps to get you flowing in the right direction:

1. Define your application requirements

  • What flow rate do I need?
  • What chemical am I pumping?
  • Do conditions like fluid viscosity or back pressure play an important role in my application?

2. Select a pump series based on your flow rate

  • Masterflex C/L® tubing pumps combine low flow and a compact size into a single pump that sits on your benchtop or panel mounts in your equipment rack—ideal for analyzer applications. Flow range is 0.002 to 37 mL/min
  • Masterflex L/S® peristaltic pumps flow range is 0.0006 to 3400 mL/min. This pump group includes fixed- and variable speed pumps. It features high-accuracy drives for precise flow control and dispensing. L/S pumps are designed for laboratory, process or field use.
  • Masterflex I/P®  tubing pumps are characterized by powerful motors and better protection from the hazards of industry like dust and water. Use these pumps in your manufacturing process for quick fluid transfer in your lab. Flow range for this pump series is 0.012 to 13 LPM.
  • Masterflex B/T® peristaltic pumps provide flow rates from 0.3 to 45 LPM. B/T pumps have the highest flow rates of any pumps in the Masterflex line. They are ideal for transferring large batches of fluids. B/T tubing pumps have heavy-duty motors and excellent hazard protection.

3. Select the components to fit your application

  • Masterflex I/P and L/S pumps systems are divided into three categories: pump head, tubing, and drive.
  • Masterflex C/L and B/T pumps systems are divided into two categories: pump head and drive.
  • To complete your tubing pump system, choose a pump head, tubing, and drive from within the same series.
