Masterflex Digi-Staltic^® pump automates batch dispensing of monoclonal antibody solutions

Charles River Laboratories manufactures monoclonal antibodies. As production lots are completed, technicians pool, mix, and dispense the product into smaller size containers. According to Tom Grace, Director/Antibody Operations, “we originally had to dispense the fluid manually, which was inefficient and time consuming.” He needed to find a simpler, less labor-intensive process.

Tom turned to the MASTERFLEX Digi-Staltic batch-dispenser for a solution. “The process is automated now. The Digi-Staltic batch dispenser cuts down on labor and gives us a very accurate reading. All the technician needs to do is program in the number of batches, time between batches, and batch volume. Once the information is entered into the Digi-Staltic batch dispenser, our technicians only need to change containers until the process is completed.”
