Cole-Parmer offers a select range of High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) solutions for routine industrial process monitoring, education and quality control (QC). Our HPLC systems are suitable for both analytical and preparative separation methods.
HPLC is a common laboratory technique used for liquid separation of mixtures. Separation is achieved by using a liquid mobile phase to separate the components of the sample. The components are dissolved in a solvent and forced through a chromatography column packed with particulates or porous layers under high pressure. As the sample is resolved into its components they are then passed through a detector and a chromatograph is generated.
Cole-Parmer's HPLC systems come with variable wavelength (UV and visible) detectors and offer a choice of Isocratic or Binary Gradient HPLC pump systems.
- Isocratic HPLC systems are used for routine separation and analysis and work by using a constant mobile phase composition to elute compounds.
- Cole-Parmer's Binary Gradient HPLC systems include a second solvent pump that varies the strength of the organic solvent to elute different compounds. The system also comes with PC software for gradient and other parameter setups, data acquisition and system control making it ideal for most lab applications.
